Figure संख्या या आँकड़ा हो सकता है, खासकर रिपोर्ट और सांख्यिकी में: sales figures बिक्री के परिणाम बताते हैं। यह शरीर की बनावट या किसी क्षेत्र के प्रमुख व्यक्ति के लिए भी आता है: a public figure. हर आकृति या वस्तु को figure नहीं कहते; शतरंज के मोहरे pieces हैं और सामान्य बातचीत में वर्ग या वृत्त shapes हैं।
