So far 是什么意思？和 until now 的语气有何区别？

So far 表示到目前为止，结果仍可能继续变化。Until now 也能译成“直到现在”，为什么却常暗示接下来要变？先看一句工作经历的对比。

So far 表示直到当前这一刻，描述目前已经发生的事，同时保留之后继续变化的可能：So far we've sold 50 tickets。口语中的 So far so good 表示“目前一切顺利”。

修改原因

修改前So far I visited three countries in Asia.

修改后So far I have visited three countries in Asia.

So far 在原句中总结截至目前的旅行经历，之后还可能去更多国家。这种与现在相连的经历总结用现在完成时 have visited。一般过去时 visited 把旅行当作过去已经结束的经历，不符合这里总结至今的角度。修改只增加了 have。

So far 和 until now 都能表示“到现在为止”，但 until now 常用于接下来将发生变化的情境：Until now, I've always worked from home, but next month I start at the office。So far 本身没有这种变化暗示：So far, the job has been great。
