No matter 表示无论、不管，意思接近 whatever、however 或 wherever。后面通常接疑问词，例如 no matter what、how、where、who，强调不管情况怎样，结果都一样：No matter what happens, I'll support you。

修改前No matter how you work hard, you still need a day off every week.
修改后No matter how hard you work, you still need a day off every week.
普通句子中 hard 放在动词后：you work hard。接到 no matter how 后，容易仍保留这个顺序，但 how 要紧挨它修饰的形容词或副词，例如 how hard、how often、how much。因此修改把 hard 移到了 how 后面。
It doesn't matter 可以构成完整的表达，意思是那并不重要：It doesn't matter what you wear。No matter 通常依附于主句：You look great no matter what you wear。句末的 no matter what 表示无论发生什么：I'll be there on Saturday, no matter what。
