Believe in 可以表示相信某物存在，也可以表示信任一种想法，或对一个人的能力有信心。Believe 不带介词时，表示相信对方的话是真的：I believe your story。关键区别是：believe him 相信他说的话；believe in him 则相信他能成功。

Believe in + -ing 表示认为某种做法正确、支持这种做法：I believe in paying interns for their work。Believe in ghosts 是相信鬼魂存在。若要陈述看法，可以用 believe that：I believe that the plan will work。
