Was sich geändert hat
Erste FassungIf you're free after work, drop by to me for a cup of tea.
Überarbeitete FassungIf you're free after work, drop by my place for a cup of tea.
Für einen Besuch bei dir zu Hause steht nach drop by direkt der Ort: my place, the office oder the shop. Drop by to me ist dafür nicht die übliche Konstruktion. Die Korrektur ersetzt to me durch my place.
Für eine Person heißt es drop in on: I dropped in on my aunt. Für einen Ort passt drop in at: drop in at the bakery. Bei drop by kann der Ort direkt folgen: drop by the bakery.
Jetzt bist du dran
I'll ___ your flat on my way home and return the umbrella I borrowed.
Daher passt drop by your flat. Drop off bezeichnet hier eher das Abgeben eines Gegenstands: I'll drop off your umbrella.
Drop by on Saturday morning and I'll give you the camping tent you asked about.
