Walk with friends 具体指与朋友一起步行，听者会想到走路这个动作。如果是到咖啡馆、酒吧或电影院度过晚上，应说 go out。真的要散步时，可以说 go for a walk。
Go out with friends 通常只是与朋友一起外出。但 with 后若只接一个人，就可能被理解为恋爱关系：How long have you been going out with Tom? 通常是在问你和 Tom 交往多久了。若只是朋友见面，用 I'm meeting Tom for a coffee 更清楚。
