I live in a one-room이라고 쓰면 영어로는 말이 되지 않습니다. I live in a villa라고 쓰면 원어민은 호화 저택을 떠올립니다.

I live in a one-room near my university.
I live in a studio near my university.
My parents live in a villa in Seoul.
My parents live in a low-rise apartment building in Seoul.
한국식 빌라는 a low-rise apartment building이고, 그 안의 한 집은 a flat(영국 영어) 또는 an apartment(미국 영어)입니다.
Young families cannot afford to buy a housing.
맞는 문장: Young families cannot afford housing. 또는 Young families cannot afford to buy a home.
집 한 채를 말할 때는 a home, a flat, a house를 씁니다. home과 house의 차이는 연습 문제 home vs house에서 다룹니다.
The life in big cities is very stressful.
Life in big cities is very stressful.
The life는 누구의, 어떤 삶인지 뒤에서 밝힐 때만 씁니다. the life of a city courier처럼요.
Young people leave from rural areas because there are few job opportunity.
- leave from → leave: ’어디를 떠나다’는 leave a place이고, 전치사가 필요 없습니다.
Young people leave rural areas because there are few job opportunities.

Writing Task 2
As cities grow, more and more people live in new residential districts far from the city centre. What problems does this cause, and what measures could be taken to address them?
The most effective solution would be to stop cities from expanding outwards indefinitely. Local authorities could regenerate run-down areas close to the centre and require developers to include a fixed share of affordable housing in every new project. At the same time, new districts should be designed around green spaces and local amenities such as schools, clinics and shops, so that residents do not have to cross the city for everyday needs. Such urban planning would limit urban sprawl and turn outlying neighbourhoods into places where people genuinely want to live, rather than simply sleep.
마지막 문장은 ’베드타운’이라는 생각을 어색한 직역 없이 전합니다. places where people genuinely want to live, rather than simply sleep. IELTS Writing 채점 기준표의 Lexical Resource 7점 항목은 awareness of style and collocation을 말하는데, 이 문단은 어려운 단어 하나 없이 그것을 보여 줍니다.
Speaking
Part 3 질문: Why do so many young people move from small towns to big cities?
Mostly for job opportunities, I think. In my home town there are maybe two or three big employers, so if you want a career in IT or design, you basically have to leave. Cities also offer a vibrant cultural life, which matters a lot when you’re twenty. The downside is that housing is so expensive: a lot of my friends spend half their salary on rent.
