表示想明白问题时，work out 后面直接接要理解的内容：work out this problem。因为我们说 deal with a problem，with 看起来也很合理，但这里不需要它。Work out with 常会被理解为与某人或借助某物锻炼，例如 work out with a trainer。
Work out 后面没有宾语、主语是一个人时，常表示锻炼：She works out every morning。如果后面接要理解或计算的东西，就是另一种意思：She worked out the answer before anyone else。
