Photobomb meaning: jumping into someone's shot at the last second

Photobombing is sneaking into someone's photo: pulling a face behind the group or walking through the frame. Pigeons do it too. But in “was photobombed”, two letters often vanish.

To photobomb is to get into someone's photo just as it's taken: pulling a face behind the group, popping up over a shoulder, walking past at the worst moment. It's usually a joke, but we say it about animals too: a pigeon photobombed our picture. It's informal; neutrally, appear unexpectedly in a photo.
