Lit slang meaning: amazing, with one big trap

Lit means amazing and full of energy: the party was lit. But say I was lit, and your American friend may picture something very different from what you meant.

Lit is slang for amazing and exciting: a party, a concert, a match. The party was lit means it was great. But about a person, I was lit is usually heard as I was drunk. So praise the event, not yourself at it. In an essay: exciting or amazing.
