GNG is short for gang, slang for guys, everyone, our crew. People use it to address friends in a group chat or in conversation: ok gng, let's go. Sometimes gng is written to a single friend, a bit like bro. There's nothing criminal about it: it's about your own people.

RevisionHi all, the client meeting has moved to 3 pm, please update your calendars.
Gng is a way of addressing people in a friendly chat. In a work email about a client meeting, it sounds unprofessional and may confuse colleagues. The neutral alternative is Hi all or Hi everyone; only the greeting changes. In Speaking, people also say my friends, not gng.
In the news, a gang is a criminal group: a gang of car thieves. In friendly speech, the gang or the whole gang is just your group of friends: the whole gang is coming to dinner. The abbreviation gng is only used in the second, friendly sense.
Your turn

gng — The question who's in is addressed to the whole group, so gng fits. Twin addresses one close friend, not everyone at once.
Write an invitation in your friends' group chat. Say where you're going and what time, and address everyone with gng.
gng, bowling at Star Lanes tonight at 8, who's coming?
