Either … or แปลว่าอะไร: เลือกอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง ต่างจาก neither

Either … or หมายถึงอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง ใช้เสนอทางเลือกสองอย่าง โดย either นำตัวเลือกแรกและ or นำตัวเลือกที่สอง ทั้งสองควรมีรูปขนานกัน เช่น คำนามสองคำ กริยาสองส่วน หรือประโยคย่อยสองส่วน ในเรียงความช่วยแสดงสองทางแก้ปัญหาได้

Neither … nor ปฏิเสธทั้งสองทาง เช่น Neither the soup nor the pasta is vegetarian. หมายถึงทั้งซุปและพาสต้าไม่ใช่อาหารมังสวิรัติ ส่วน either ท้ายประโยคปฏิเสธหมายถึงก็ไม่เช่นกัน เช่น My sister doesn't drive, and I don't either. ไม่ใช่ความหมายการเลือก
