Remember means to keep something in your own memory or bring it back to mind yourself; remind means to make someone else remember. Remind is almost always followed by the person being reminded: remind me, remind the team. Remind somebody of also means “to be similar to something, to make you think of it”: This song reminds me of school.

Both verbs are about memory, so remember me to can seem logical. But remember describes what happens in your own memory, while a request to prompt someone else's memory needs remind. Only the verb changed in the correction; me to send stayed as it was.
The meaning of remember depends on what follows it. Remember to lock the door means “don't forget to lock it”. I remember locking the door means “I recall that I have already locked it”. Remind has no such pair: remind somebody to do something always refers to a task that is still ahead: She reminded me to lock the door.
Your turn
I always forget my keys, so my flatmate ___ me to take them every morning.

reminds — The gap is followed by me, the person being reminded, and then to take. That is the pattern remind + person + to, so the answer is reminds. Remembers does not work this way: you can only remember things yourself, and English does not say remember somebody to do something.
Ask a colleague or friend to remind you about a task. Say what they should remind you about and when.
Could you remind me to book the meeting room on Thursday morning?
