RevisionCan you give me another example?
A singular countable noun like example needs an article or a similar word in front of it, and other on its own does not provide one. Another already contains the article: it is an and other written as one word. Only that word was changed.
The other points to a specific second item or to all the rest: I have two brothers. One lives in Kazan, and the other lives in Perm. Another brother doesn't fit here: you say that when there are more brothers than the ones already mentioned.
Your turn

another — Only one pen is needed: the gap is followed by one, and there is no article before the gap. So you need another, meaning “one more, a different pen”. Other one without an article is not used like this, and the other one would mean the second of two particular pens.
Imagine that something you tried in a shop doesn't fit. Use another to ask for a different one, and other to ask about more options.
This shirt is too small, so could I try another size or see some other colours?
